Many Newberry firefighters will be teeing off on Saturday to help one of their own.
The firefighters have formed the Friends of Keely Wicker to help the infant, who has battled medical problems since birth.
Keely Wicker was born March 2 and has been in the hospital off and on since her birth. She is the daughter of Newberry fireman Brandon and Mandy Wicker.
At birth the baby under went surgery for umbibical repair.
In May, Keely faced heart surgery.
Next week the five-month-old will face her third surgery when doctors operate on her eyes.
The Friends of Keely Wicker will host a golf tournament Saturday to raise money for her medical care.
The tournament will have a 9 a.m. Saturday shotgun start. The tournament will be limited to the first 20 teams. The fee for a team is $240 and for a single player is $60.
The entry fee includes green fees, carts and one shot per player off a red tee. Prizes will be given for the longest drive, closest to the pin and first and second place.
Golfers need to register before the 9 a.m. start.
In addition to the tournament the Friends of Keely Wicker will also be taking donations and holding a turkey stew on Oct. 4.
All proceeds will help support the little girl's medical needs and her family.
