A potential candidate for the House of Representatives has had to drop out of the race.
Joanna resident Gary Vincent announced this spring that he would run for the House of Representatives District 15 seat as a petition candidate and would face Republican incumbent Jeff Duncan in November.
However, Vincent was not able to get the signatures he needed by the July 15 cutoff date.
Without the signatures, he was forced to drop out of the race.
This leaves Duncan as the lone candidate for the position.
