The truck was traveling in the eastbound lane around the 82 mile marker when it was struck by another truck and overturned, according the S.C. Highway Patrol.
The driver of the gravel truck had to be extracted but only received minor injuries.
The interstate was blocked at times as emergency officials responded to the wreck and cleared the wreckage from the roadway.
