Irmo scored eight times in the second inning and cruised from there to the seven-inning win.
Newberry closed the lead to 8-4 after three innings, before Post 174 put the game away with two runs in the fourth and six more in the fifth. Irmo finished the game with 16 total hits.
Mid-Carolina junior Cody Page picked up the loss for the P24s after lasting just an inning and a two-thirds. He gave up seven runs, all earned on four hits. Page walked two and hit two.
Newberry High product Codie Dickert came on in relief and surrendered eight runs on eight hits in three innings of relief.
T.J. Lanford came on for the final two and a third innings and gave up three runs on four hits.
Ashton Longshore led the P24s at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a double and a home run. The former Newberry High player drove in two runs.
Ryan Davis, Korey Ahrens, Cody Simmons and Codie Dickert each added two hits.
The P24s will begin a stretch of four consecutive road games beginning Wednesday when they travel to Lexington Post 7. Game time is set for 7 p.m. at Lexington High School.
