On the agenda is an item to discuss an economic incentive with Trucast, an automotive company, for a project involving an investment of at least $5 million.
The council will also hear an update and overview of activities with the Central SC Alliance, which assists the county with economic development.
County Council will also hold a public hearing on its $22.3 million budget.
The budget includes a merit raise for employees and a 2 percent pay increase for elected departmental officials. Members of County Council are not slated for a raise.
Also included is $30,000 for half of the salary and benefits for a Clemson Extension 4-H agent and $25,357 for a receptionist for the county administrative offices.
Council has reallocated money in the budget, through lease purchases of new ambulances instead of cash purchases, to add a 24-hour EMS crew. This would supply the county with three EMS crews working during the night.
The county's spending is up 5.5 percent from last year. The total budget increase is higher than that due to money “passing through“ from other funding sources to pay salaries, such as at J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home.
Council will hold a public hearing to change the recreational vehicle ordinance and give the final reading on the change. The new ordinance will allow the use of campers in any area of the county, except a newly formed RS-1A zoning district, which will geared for subdivisions which restrict the use of campers.
Council will also hold a public hearing and final reading on an ordinance allowing residents to live in mobile homes while building a permanent residence on the same property.
