Matthew Partlow, 23, was robbed Tuesday night in Whitmire, but instead of calling police, he went to where he thought the suspect lived and opened fire into the home.
Police say, however, that the home Partlow shot into was not the home of the man who robbed him, but of an innocent person. There were also children in the home at the time of the shooting. No one was injured in the gunfire.
On Wednesday night, Partlow was arrested by Greenwood police on charges there and is being held in the Greenwood jail. Once he is out of the Greenwood lockup, he will be returned to face the Whitmire charges, according to Whitmire Police Chief Jeremiah Sinclair.
Whitmire police are also are looking for a 17-year-old named Manuel Mack in connection with the robbing of Partlow.
