No one was injured when shots rang out yesterday afternoon in Helena.

Just after 5 p.m. there was a fight and shots fired on Gray Street, according to reports from the Sheriff's Office.

As emergency personnel rushed to the area, the suspect reportedly fled in a blue Crown Victoria.

Investigators were unable to find any injured persons in the area and at press time were unsure of who the shooter was.

In a vehicle stop after the reported shooting, officers arrested James Bernard Darby, 21, of Green Meadow Drive, in Newberry, on charges of felon in possession of a firearm. At press time it is not known if Darby was involved in the Helena incident.

The shooting is still under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call Sheriff's investigators at 321-2211.
