NEWBERRY - Funeral services for Mr. John H. Cook Jr., age 83, will be conducted on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 3 p.m. at Pratt Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Werts Cemetery.
Mr. Cook died Sunday, March 9, 2008 at Ridgeway Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Newberry County, he was the son of the late John H. Cook Sr. and the late Fannie Mae Ruff Cook.
He was predeceased by a brother, Clinton Cook; a sister, Fannie Mae Thacker, devotedfriend, Betty Gallman.
Surviving are one son, Lawrence Gray; step-son, Todd Gallman; aunts, Thelma Smith of Greensboro, N.C. and Jacqueline W. Lindsey of Newberry; sister-in-law, Doretha Cook of Newberry; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
