PROSPERITY - Sarah Griffith Bedenbaugh, 79, of Prosperity, widow of J. Edward Bedenbaugh, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, at the Lowman Home.
Born in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late James W. and Hattie McCarty Griffith. She was retired from Kendall Co. Oakland Plant and was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church. She was a member of the W.E.L.C.A., and she and her late husband were avid campers.
She is survived by a sister Helen G. Keitt of Cheyenne, Wyo.; a brother, Gerald Griffith and wife Judy of Newberry; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Ralph (Sonny) Griffith.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church by the Rev. Arden Hallman. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday from 6:30 until 8 p.m. at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
