Sara Rish Shackelford of Columbia and Steven Heath McCutcheon of Newberry, were married Nov. 17, 2007, at Forest Lake Presbyterian Church in Columbia. The Rev. Drs. Ellen Fowler Skidmore and J. Eric Skidmore performed the 6 p.m. ceremony. A reception followed at Wildewood Country Club.

The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Herring Shackelford of Columbia, is the granddaughter of Mrs. Mary Ramsey Snellings ofCharlotte, N.C., and the late Anthony A. Snellings and Mrs. Mary Herring Shackelford of Mooresville, N.C., and the late Emmett William Shackelford.

A graduate of Presbyterian College and American InterContinental University, she isemployed as the community development manager for the Girl Scouts in Newberry.

The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Vaughn McCutcheon, is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Robert Rushton of Johnston and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Leland McCutcheon of Newberry.

A graduate of Presbyterian College, he is employed as a regional sales manager with Carsonite Composites in Newberry.

Matron of honor was Shelby Shackelford Moyer of Charlotte, N.C. Bridesmaids were Casey Lynn McCutcheon of Leland, N.C., Monica Smoak McCutcheon of Columbia, Stephanie Vaughn Gamble of Anderson, Amy Lynn Mosley of Atlanta, Ga.; Amy Paige Riddle of New York, N.Y.; Allison Elaine Russell of Tampa, Fla. and Sara Bess Wilson of Spartanburg.

Register attendant was Amanda Goodwin Sweatt of Atlanta, Ga. Programs attendant was Mary Sims Pressly of Columbia. Scripture reader was Jean Louise McCloskey of Wilmington. Soloist was Elizabeth Johnson Kerr of Bishopville.

Best men were Ricky Vaughn McCutcheon of Newberry and James Benjamin McCutcheon of Columbia. Groomsmen were Brett Christopher Moyer of Charlotte, N.C., Ryan Casey Rushton of Kiawah Island, Chad Edward Barnett of Columbia, Bradley Neal Rikard of Newberry and Todd Jeremy Warren of Greenwood. Bagpiper was Steve Cotsford of Columbia.

After enjoying a wedding cruise to the Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos, the couple now resides in Newberry.
