I would like to ask one question as to why the County Council is so interested in spending millions of dollars to rework the old Wal-Mart building to put the sheriff's department in an old building known as Wal-Mart. Where downtown is getting a brand new library. and want to put the Sheriff's Department in an old renovated building. It won't cost too much more to go and tear the old building down on 219 and build a brand new building to put everything of what they want to put out at the old Wal-Mart building. Then the Sheriff's Department and all the other offices will have a brand new building just like everybody else has. After all they are the ones who patrol the county for the people's protection and deserve a brand new building.
