A Prosperity man was killed in a traffic wreck in Richland County on Saturday, and four others were taken to the hospital. But details in the fatal wreck are still under investigation.

The crash involved a 2001 Yukon driven by Daren Wilson, 36, [no address available] a 2005 International tractor trailer with a box trailer driven by Albert Isom, 43, of Goose Creek, and a 1999 Tahoe driven by Richard Smith, 33, of Highway 34, Newberry.

All three vehicles were traveling in the eastbound lane of I-26 near the 97-mile marker when the wreck occurred, according to Highway Patrol Lance Corporal Ron Johnson.

The wreck caused the Tahoe driven by Smith to overturn into the median.

Members of the Highway Patrol are still investigating to determine the events involved in the wreck, according to Johnson.

Ulysses Brown, 32, of Prosperity, who was in Smith's vehicle, was killed in the wreck. Smith and a third passenger John Tolen, 45, of 1902 Lincoln Court, Newberry, were both injured in the wreck. There were eight passengers in the Yukon.
