Men’s soccer coach resigns

NEWBERRY — Matthew Finley, director of athletics for Newberry College, has announced the resignation of Barry Slagle from the position of head men’s soccer coach, with immediate effect.

“We appreciate Barry’s contributions to Newberry College in his time here and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors,” said Finley.

Slagle led the Wolves for five seasons with a cumulative record of 19-63-4. A nationwide search for the Wolves’ next men’s soccer coach will begin immediately.
