LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. — Newberry College alumnus Corey Washington was added to the practice roster of the NFL’s Washington Redskins, the team announced Monday.

The 6-foot-4 wide receiver played 14 games for the New York Giants in 2014 and had five receptions for 52 yards and a touchdown. He was released/injured prior to Week One of the 2015 season. He was also named the NFL’s Preseason MVP in 2014 after catching four game-winning touchdowns for the Giants.

Washington puts the Wolves’ count of NFL players back at four. Washington joins Brandon Bostick as practice squad participants. Bostick is on the Arizona Cardinals’ practice squad.

On active rosters are Kansas City Chiefs’ starting safety Ron Parker and Minnesota Vikings’ linebacker Edmond Robinson.
