RENO, Nev. — Newberry College graduate Dondray Walker was drafted in the seventh round of Saturday’s NBA Developmental League Draft by the Reno Bighorns.

The Bighorns are an affiliate of the Sacramento Kings. In his four-year career at Newberry, Walker was named a preseason All-America and was a three-time all-South Atlantic Conference selection. He was a first team honoree in 2013-14 and second team honoree in 2011-12 and 2012-13.

Despite being hampered by injury in his senior campaign, Walker still racked up fantastic numbers for the Wolves. He scored 1,533 career points and averaged 15.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.3 steals per game over his career. He was a 42.6 percent shooter from the floor and connected on 40.7 percent of his three-point attempts.

Walker will report immediately to Reno. The Bighorns’ first regular season game is Nov. 13.
