COLUMBIA — The Newberry Bulldogs are on the road tonight to close their season against the Columbia Capitals. Kick off is slated for 7:30 p.m.
The Bulldogs are 7-2 on the year and hope to secure a better playoff position with another conference win.
Although Columbia has yet to notch a victory in 2015, Newberry head coach Phil Strickland is still wary of the Capitals.
“They have some dangerous athletes,” he said. “They’ve just had a little trouble getting it into the end zone.”
Strickland, who anticipated the rain during Tuesday’s practice, had his team watching film to ready themselves for tonight.
He also said that other than a few bumps and bruises everyone is healthy.
The Bulldogs will have a respite from a game next week to prepare for the playoffs.
