In that sixth frame, the Bobcats loaded the bases with one out before scoring four runs off three Wolves errors.

Newberry was able to scratch a run across with one out in the seventh inning. Paige Meyer singled to left field and drove in Myranda Dills, but back-to-back Wolves struck out to give Georgia College its third win of the season.

The Wolves outhit the Bobcats nine to five and had seven players get a hit with Meyer and Dills leading with two hits apiece. Marchbanks suffered her first loss of the season on six innings of work.

Game Two: Georgia College 9, Newberry 1

The Bobcats scored four runs in the first inning and then scored a run in each frame except the fourth to take a 9-1 victory in game two.

Just like game one, the Wolves did not score until the seventh inning. With two outs, Meyer singled and advanced all the way to third on a throwing error by the third baseman. Natalie Willis drove in Meyer on a single to right field on her team-leading sixth RBI of the season.

Willis finished the day with three hits and now has a team-high eights hits on the season.

Three different pitchers saw time in the circle for Newberry with Selice Daley getting the starting nod and the loss. Alyssa Ball pitched three innings of relief and was followed by Haley Simonds who went two innings.
