COLUMBIA — For the third time this season, the Newberry High Lady Bulldogs did not have to rely on the three-pointer to pull out a victory as they only converted one basket from behind the arc Monday evening, at Dreher, in their 59-38 victory to improve to 3-0.

Newberry scored at least 12 points in each of the four quarters, while the Lady Blue Demons were held to single digits in each of the first two stanzas.

Rayanna Davis scored 11 of her 23 points in the first quarter alone.

Rehgan Miller finished with 13 points, including scoring six of them in the second quarter.

Kelsey Felks contributed 10 points, while Lindsey Ruff hit Newberry’s only three-pointer to end the night with six points.

Diamond Davis scored three points, while the Newberry scoring ended with the two points apiece of Morgan Moone and Tatiana Garrison.
