NINETY SIX — In another nail-biter game, the Mid-Carolina Rebels were unable to come out on top in Friday’s 21-23 loss against the Ninety Six Wildcats.

At the half, the Wildcats were ahead 7-14 and extended their lead with a safety to make the score 7-16 with five minutes left in the third quarter.

With three minutes left in the third quarter, a blocked punt was returned for a Rebel touchdown, making the score 14-16 going into the fourth quarter.

With less than 10 minutes to go in the game, the Wildcats and Rebels both managed to put points on the board, but the Rebels were unable to take the lead in the remainder of the game.

The Rebels will be at home this week as they host Abbeville with a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.
