NEWBERRY – Redshirt freshman Chance Walker, already named the South Atlantic Conference’s Special Teams Co-Player of the Week, has been nominated for the HERO of the Week award by college sports website HERO Sports.
Walker’s 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown at Virginia Union marked the second time in the last 26 years a SAC player has returned a kick that distance for a score and set the Newberry kick return record.
