Tournament participants were Bill Craine, Jake Jenkins, Paulette Jenkins of Prosperity, Charles Kinard, Dan Bradley, Ralph Patterson, Harriett Counts, Clyde Johnson, Rook Counts. Daija Rogers, Martha Wilder and Tom Bradberry also participated. Jenkins won the women’s division.

NEWBERRY — Harriett Counts of Prosperity won the women’s division of the Clinton-Laurens-Newberry Tennis Association’s fourth annual Mac Harrison Memorial Tennis Tournament held May 30 on the Newberry High School tennis courts.

With 12 participants, almost $500 was donated. All proceeds will help fund the CLNTA’s summer youth camps in Laurens and in Newberry.

Bill Craine of Laurens won the men’s 3.5 Division. Dan Bradley of Waterloo was runner-up and Ralph Patterson of Laurens came in third place. Clyde Johnson of Waterloo won the 3.0 Men’s Division, with Rook Counts of Prosperity was second.

The CLNTA’s next tournament is its annual round-robin mixed doubles tournament on Aug. 29 at Laurens City Park.
