NEWBERRY — Newberry College women’s field hockey player Caitlyn Warren has been named the Chick-fil-A Student-Athlete of the Month presented by Sodexo for September 2016.
Warren, a senior from Richmond, Virginia and graduate of Manchester HS, scored six of the team’s nine goals in September. She has notched the game-winning goal in victories over Belmont Abbey and Molloy. Warren also scored and tallied an assist in a win over Queens to help the field hockey team to its longest ever winning streak.
Warren carries a 3.41 grade point average and is currently an SGA Senator at large and Secretary of the Blue Key Honor Society. She is also a member of the National Leadership Society, Phi Beta Lambda, and the Kappa Delta Sorority.
The award will be given every month and honor one Newberry College student-athlete for their on-field performance, academic achievement and community involvement. The award recipient will be honored on the Chick-fil-A Newberry College Student-Athlete of the Month presented by Sodexo wall in Eleazer Arena.
