PROSPERITY — Coming off of a 30-26 loss against the Ninety Six Wildcats, Mid-Carolina football Coach Louie Alexander hopes that by reviewing game film this week and identifying mistakes, the Mid-Carolina Rebels can bring home a win against the Abbeville Panthers on Friday.

“I felt like the offense and defense competed well despite throwing interceptions early on, but we’ll clean things up and make sure to make better reads for Friday,” Alexander said.

The Rebels did not start off strong in the first half, throwing two interceptions, putting the Wildcats on the board 13-0 in the first half. They were able to put points on the board in the second half, but were unable to catch up to the Wildcats. The Rebels have not played well against Abbeville in recent match-ups, but Alexander hopes to bring home a win on Friday.

“We just need to overcome adversity a little better and play harder,” he said.

Kick off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday in Abbeville.
