Suber, Carraway make All Region NEWBERRY — Newberry Academy’s Justin Suber and Luke Carraway were voted to the All-Region baseball team by the coaches in their region.
In addition, Carraway played in the SCISA 1A-2A North-South game this past weekend. He played on the North team coached by Barry Kesler, the Academy’s baseball coach. Kesler was voted Region Coach of the Year. Carraway scored the first run of the game for the North team, which won 4-2.
Wolves will celebrate 100 years with golf classic NEWBERRY — The Newberry College football program will kick off the celebration of 100 years of Newberry football on June 29 with the inaugural Alumni Golf Classic.

Newberry College athletes make All Southeast Region baseball team PEMBROKE, N.C. — Newberry College’s Jonathan Rosenberger, Ryan Cranmer and Albert Baur have been named to the All-Southeast region teams as announced by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers’ Association on Sunday.
Rosenberger and Cranmer were second team honorees, while Baur was named to the third team. The trio are the first all-region honorees from Newberry since 2009, when Thomas Berryhill earned NCBWA second team honors.
