Kiswire breaks ground at new location NEWBERRY — “We are really excited about the future,” said David Minnick, president of Kiswire Inc. The company held its ground breaking ceremony on Wednesday for their new plant location on S.C. 76.

Poppies for Veterans are back again NEWBERRY — The Ladies Auxiliary Post 24 are back with the red poppies benefiting the veterans of Newberry County.
The blood red color of the poppies symbolize the blood shed by American soldiers and are distributed annually in time for Memorial Day. All of the money helps the disabled veterans of Newberry County.

Royal Regiment performs ‘outstanding’ at Stampede WHITMIRE — The Whitmire Royal Regiment Marching Band performed for Veterans, veteran family members, tourists, and parents at The Dixie Stampede in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. on April 20. The Royal Regiment was part of a massed band made up of two other high schools.
