Cornejo wins first for recycled art
NEWBERRY — Dana Cornejo defeated hundreds of students from across the state in a recycled art competition. Newberry High student Cornejo won first place in this school year’s high school recycled art contest sponsored by Palmetto Pride. The contest urges students to create art out of recyclable materials. In addition to nabbing first place in the state, Cornejo also received a $500 prize and the school also receives a $1,000 prize.
