Academy hosts ‘burger buddy’ lunch
The Newberry Academy’s 3-, 4- and 5-year-old kindergarten classes recently invited their families to a “burger buddy” lunch. The students enjoyed hosting their special guests and were proud to share their musical talent and classroom activities with everyone. The Academy appreciates all the guests attending and giving them 100 percent participation. Here, one kindergartner hosts her special guests for the day.

Students display patriotism during spirit week
Students in the 3-, 4-, and 5-year-old kindergarten classes went all out to show their patriotic spirit during Newberry Academy Spirit Week 2013. The class also took a trip to Columbia on Feb. 20. Third-graders from Newberry Academy enjoyed a tour of the State House with Sen. Ronnie Cromer and visited the governor’s mansion.

NEWBERRY — Middle school math students at Newberry Academy are busy working math problems for the St Jude’s Math-a-thon, an annual event to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. NEWBERY — The Miss Newberry Academy 2013 pageant was held March 2 with the reigning queen Emily Senn as the emcee.
