College hosts jazz festival Saturday
The Newberry College Jazz Band played during the 56th annual Jazz Festival held Saturday afternoon. The Newberry College Jazz Festival is one of the oldest festivals in the nation and is held in collaboration with the S.C. Band Directors Association, All-State high school bands and this year world-renowned jazz trombonist Conrad Herwig performed with the college jazz band. PROSPERITY — The body of a 56-year-old Prosperity man reported missing Saturday afternoon was found Sunday and his brother now stands charged with murder.
