WHITMIRE — Investigators arrested a Whitmire man Monday night and will be formerly charged with murder Tuesday morning. Community players recreate ‘Flash Gordon’ this weekend

Newberry College hosted a variety of activities for families, students, alumni and the community this weekend. It started with President Maurice Scherrens’ inauguration on Friday and on Saturday there was an alumni game, spring game and other games such as these inflatables and some basketball. A DJ provided music and the night ended with a movie on the Quad at the college.
