Newberry College is searching for a new athletics director and interim director.
On Wednesday, Newberry College vice president for intercollegiate athletics Brad Edwards was named as new director of athletics at Jacksonville University, an NCAA Division I institution in Jacksonville, Fla.
Edwards will start his new job on Aug. 10 after leading the Wolves for the past three years.
“Newberry College acting president Dr. John Hudgens has begun the process of identifying an interim director of athletics in the immediate future,” according to a press release yesterday.
New president Dr. Maurice Scherrens, who starts his duties in Newberry on Aug. 14, will lead the search for the next athletic director.
