NEWBERRY — The ribbon cutting ceremony for Dr. Allison Kyzer’s chiropractic business was filled with community support Friday afternoon.
Kyzer’s business — Midlands Chiropractic — is now open at 3218 College St. The ceremony brought about an emotional surge as Kyzer thanked her family and friends for their support.
Kyzer bought the building in February and renovated it from top to bottom. Many years ago the building was used as an accounting business, Kyzer said.
“Everything is updated,” said Kyzer about the building.
Chiropractic care was not always what Kyzer intended to do. In fact, she had planned on attending dental school.
“I had planned on going to dental school but I had a friend who explained the philosophy and what chiropractic is and it just fit with me and how I was raised. I like the idea of healing the body from the inside out,” said Kyzer.
Kyzer graduated from Newberry College in 2009 and then attended Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, graduating in December 2012.
A website is still in the works but a Facebook page can be found by searching for Midlands Chiropractic LLC.
