NEWBERRY — Lindsey Barwick’s Wolves Cheer Camp was held June 10-12 at Newberry College in the MacLean Gymnasium for girls ages 4 through 12.
Having over 16 years of cheerleading experience, Barwick is about to enter her second year as the Newberry College cheerleading head coach and spirit coordinator.
The wolves cheer camp was designed to build the basic fundamentals of cheerleading for its participants. The camp taught basic motions, jumps, stunting, and basic tumbling skills throughout the week.
The girls were also taught several Newberry College cheers and a dance routine, which they performed the final day of camp for friends and family.
