Storms are doing damage Thursday evening as they sweep across the county.
Around 7 p.m. trees were reported down in the Old Main Street, Scurry Church and Old Landfill areas of Chappells. Also damage has been done to a Chappells house on Old Main Street with tree hitting it.
Also a number of power lines are down in the Chappells area.
S.C. Highway 34 between Highway 39 and the County Line Road is closed. Downed trees and power lines have blocked the road.
