The City Block Party Event scheduled for Memorial Park is being moved due to rain.

The new location will be Eleazer Arena at Newberry College. Activities will begin at 6 p.m. today.

A LARGE ALLIGATOR SNAPPER TURTLE POSSIBLY 80 YRS. OLD. HE WAS DISCOVERED IN A DRIVEWAY ON SILAS ST. THURSDAY AFTERNOON. AN OFFICER WAS FLAGGED DOWN AND HE SENT FOR A DNR OFFICER. THE DNR OFFICER WAS ABLE TO GET THE TURTLE IN A TUB, AND NOTED THIS WAS THE THIRD ONE THIS YEAR HE HAS PICKED UP.
