PROSPERITY —The Mid-Carolina Middle School held its 2012-13 athletic banquet May 16 for all athletes. Awards are as follows:

Seventh grade football team winners

A LARGE ALLIGATOR SNAPPER TURTLE POSSIBLY 80 YRS. OLD. HE WAS DISCOVERED IN A DRIVEWAY ON SILAS ST. THURSDAY AFTERNOON. AN OFFICER WAS FLAGGED DOWN AND HE SENT FOR A DNR OFFICER. THE DNR OFFICER WAS ABLE TO GET THE TURTLE IN A TUB, AND NOTED THIS WAS THE THIRD ONE THIS YEAR HE HAS PICKED UP.
