NEWBERRY — Jake Buzhardt was chosen as Newberry Academy’s Rotary Club student of the month for October. Buzhardt, a senior, is the son of Dr. Rick and Melissa Buzhardt.
He attended Palmetto Boys State this past summer and is active in many clubs and activities at Newberry Academy. Buzhardt is a member of beta club and is currently at the top of his class academically. Currently, Jake serves as the school’s student body president and is also actively involved in Junior Civitan on the club and state level. Buzhardt is a member of the swim, cross country, varsity basketball and varsity baseball teams.
