If we all would be honest, we want things the way we want them. We are more comfortable when things are the way we like them. The tension comes when, what we want is not what God wants for us. We get into trouble when we do what we want instead of what God wants.
We think we know what’s best, but God truly knows what is best for us.
When we refuse to do what God wants us to do, we will begin to have a hard heart.
There is only one answer to the problem of a hard heart. Honest repentance will bring about the change we need and give us a new heart.
Only Christ can make us have a new heart that is compassionate and caring.
“Cast away from you all your transgressions; whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit.” Ezekiel 18:31
A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.” Ezekiel 36:26
“Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Matthew 5:8
A new heart comes from God.
