CALHOUN FALLS — The young Whitmire Wolverine football team is continuing to look for a win as they travel to Calhoun Falls Charter School on Friday night.
While Whitmire is 0-5 on the season; Calhoun Falls is 1-5.
Calhoun Falls’ year has gone much like Whitmire’s with high scoring losses. They did win a 39-7 game over North on Sept. 7.
“Calhoun Falls has some dangerous athletes on offense and on defense their secondary is good,” said Whimire coach Donald Addis. “So we’ll need to be able to run the ball to be successful this week.”
But a key to the win will be keeping a hand on the ball and preventing turnovers.
“If we can play a turnover free game on offense and stop the run, then we have a good chance this week,” said Addis.
Game time is at 7:30 p.m. in Calhoun Falls.
