The Jasper Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) held its January meeting at the Hal Kohn Memorial Library in Newberry. The guest speaker was Gay Suber who was born in Abbeville and grew up in Whitmire. He graduated from Newberry College. His program was on a new biography by Tom Measham called ‘Thomas Jefferson,’ which is available at the library.
