NEWBERRY — Mrs. Virginia B. Davis, 74, of 2230 Garys Lane, Newberry, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born in Newberry County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Scott and the late Janie Boozer Scott.

She was a member of Belmont Baptist Church in Silverstreet.

He husband, Odell Davis Sr., preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons, Nathaniel Boozer (Bertha) of Laurens and Marvin Dandy of Kinards; four daughters, Dianna Smiley and Teresa Ellis (Eddie) of Newberry, Jennie Walker (Michael) of Laurens and Barbara Saddler of Clinton; 23 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; one brother, Willie Boozer of Newberry; two sisters, Frilla Wilson (J.C.) of Greenville and Katherine Miles of Newberry; two sisters-in-law, Hattie Mae Fair (Roosevelt) of Kinards and Mattie Dominick (Marcus) of Joanna and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at Belmont Baptist Church in Silverstreet. Burial will follow in Apple Orchard Cemetery in Clinton.
