Newberry Middle School will celebrate Veteran’s Day on Nov. 9.
The middle school will begin by honoring veterans with breakfast at 8 a.m. Then, following at 9 a.m., they will hold an assembly which is a learning experience for the students. Additionally, this will honor the veterans.
The school wants to have the veterans march in at the beginning of the assembly. After the assembly the school is in need of some veterans to read a book or either share some of their experiences with the classes.
If there are veterans and willing to participate in any of these activities, please call the school office at 321-2640.
A count will be needed of how many will be attending and which activities they will be able to attend. Newberry Middle is looking forward to hearing from all of the veterans across the county.
