NEWBERRY — Drivers were forced to take a detour during their Monday morning commute after a tractor-trailer struck a utility pole at Boundary Street and Dennis Dairy Road.
Local utility workers and the S.C. Department of Transportation were on the scene around 7 a.m. Monday making repairs. A detour sent traffic to the S.C. 34 Bypass and S.C. 121 at Boys Farm.
At press time the road was expected to be closed for a couple of hours.
