On Nov. 28, 2012, Deputy Erin Leighton was patrolling Old Dutch Road when she noticed one of my very expensive registered Angus Bulls out in the roadway. Deputy Leighton called me to advise me of the situation, cleared the animal out of the roadway, and even gave me the ear tag number of the animal in question.
She did all of this with a polite, cheerful demeanor and let me know that she and other members of the NCSO were happy to assist the citizens of this county. I appreciate what this deputy has done for me, as she is the embodiment of what a public service official should strive to be.
I believe Deputy Leighton went above and beyond the call of duty and should be commended for her service to our county and its citizens.
