I felt that I needed to share my gratitude to the city of Newberry for a very welcoming visit which I just had in such a lovely town. On Tuesday, 5 March 2013 I traveled from Pennsylvania to Newberry for the Helen Reddy concert at the Opera House.
I made the nine hour trip and was not disappointed by the concert nor the hospitality of the people I met. Many thanks to Heather Hawkins and the box office staff and house staff of the Newberry Opera House. Your kindness and friendliness will never be forgotten and always appreciated. I would mention all the people I met at the opera house by name if I knew their names, but they know who they are and who I am. Just because I do not know their names does not diminish how grateful I am to them.
To Rex from Woolbright’s Florist, you were so kind to me on such a last minute request for flowers and the lovely conversation. To the gentleman at the Angels of Grace Thrift Store, you too were so kind to me with your conversation and help with directions which saved me tons of time on the ten hour trip home in the rain and snow.
To the lovely folks I spoke with i n the lobby of the opera house after the concert, thanks so much for your kindness also. Lastly, to Carole Murray from WKDK — thanks for everything you did also. I look forward to my next visit to the lovely city of Newberry. God bless all my new friends in such a charming small southern town.
