Elizabeth Lynn Richardson and Benjamin Edward Vernon were married by the Rev. Laura Mitchell Hayes at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 3, 2007, at the VanLandingham Estate in Charlotte. A reception followed.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Richardson of Wilmington. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Harry Richardson of Southern Pines and the late Mr. Richardson of Tupelo, Miss., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Brossman of Wyomissing, Pa. A graduate of Providence High School, Elizabeth earned a BS from Clemson University.

The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Elmer Long of Prosperity and the late David Vernon of Prosperity, formerly of Charlotte. He is the grandson of Mrs. Robert Davis and the late Mr. Davis of Newberry, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Vernon of Leesburg Fla. A graduate of Myers Park High School, Ben earned a BS from Appalachian State University.

Maid of honor was Jessica

Osterneck. Bridesmaids were Megan Hope, Mary Morrison, Lacey Moore, Sarah Strickland and Henrietta Richardson. Flower girl was Lillian Godsey. Greeters and program attendants were, Jessica Vernon and Suzanne Godsey.

Best man was Cameron Strickland. Groomsmen were Dallas Robertson, Justin Holofchak, Grant Coy, Joel Robertson, Michael Flowers and Max Richardson. Ushers were Michael Hernandez and Conor Owsley.

A rehearsal dinner was held at the Charlotte City Club. After a honeymoon in Turks and Caicos, the Vernons will reside in Charlotte.
