A back to school bash will be held on Wise Street Saturday from 10 a.m until 6 p.m.
The event was originally supposed to be held last Saturday and has been moved to Aug. 18.
Some school supplies will be given out along with food, prizes and some entertainment provided throughout the afternoon.
The event is hosted by a Newberry resident, Calvin Sims, who’s been putting on the bash for 30 years this year.
As Sims says, “We have fun without drugs.”
Local businesses, Newberry police department and the sheriff’s office help out as they can.
