Clouds form over the county Wednesday night before localized storms brought around three inches of rain to portions of the county. Wednesday’s rain was preceded by storms that dropped several inches of rain in some locations on Tuesday night.

Temperatures dropped into the 80s this week as clouds covered the area and brought much needed rain.

This week much needed rains have fallen over the county. Most of the rain has been localized and some areas have gotten little to no rain from the showers while others areas have seen several inches in a day from the showers. Newberry County Sheriff Lee Foster says the storm also caused several trees to fall this week but no serious damage was reported.
