NEWBERRY —The fall semester has come to a close and the rankings are in for the GolfStat Division II and GolfWorld Coaches Poll. While men’s golf rankings remain high, women’s golf team has fell but they are still ranked ninth.

Men’s golf

The Newberry College men’s golf team is highly rated once again as the fall 2012 semester comes to a close. The Wolves are ranked 12th in the GolfStat Division II head-to-head rankings and 21st in the GolfWorld Coaches Poll.

With three top four finishes in four highly competitive tournaments in the fall, the Wolves are the highest-rated South Atlantic Conference team in both ranking systems.

Women’s golf

The Newberry College women’s golf team finds itself amongst the elite teams in Division II once again as the fall 2012 semester comes to a close. The Wolves are ranked ninth in the GolfStat Division II head-to-head rankings and 14th in the WGCA Coaches Poll.

With two tournament championships in four fall events, the Wolves are the top-ranked South Atlantic Conference team in both rankings.
