MCMS holds scrimmage

PROSPERITY — The Mid-Carolina Middle School team held a scrimmage on Thursday.

The inter-squad game is called the Cardinal vs. White Game.

The boys cardinal team won 41-33.

For the white jersey team Corey Stone scored 17 points, Jeb Fulmer scored three points, Drew Cromer scored two points, Jaterran Wise scored seven points and R.J. Wadsworth made four points.

The cardinal team was led by Zachary Hentz with 17 points, Iyon Thompson made 12 points, Keenan Boland had five points, Cade Ruff had four points and Jalen Bates Caldwell had three points.

The white girls team squeezed out a 24-21 win over their teammates.

For the white jersey team Gracen Hester had 15 points, Alex Fulmer followed with seven points, and Taylor Swygert made two points.

For the cardinal jersey team Chazity Counts was the top scorer with nine points, Charlsy Traylor was right behind with eight points, Cassi Ruff follwed with four points, Jessica Morris had two points and Camryn Long scored a point.

The teams will plan on Dec. 11, against Edgewood Middle School with the girls game at 5:30 p.m and the boys following.
