Mid-Carolina High art students Kristin Long and Daniel Romero were honored by the School Board Monday night for their art projects. Long won third place - out of 450 entries - at the S.C. Junior Duck Stamp Art Contest and Romero won third place for his conservation message as well as an honorable mention for his entry. His message was, “Try and they can fly; neglect and no one will protect! Take a stand!”

Mid-Carolina High chorus students Mekayla Manning, left, and Felicia Noble were selected through audition to participate in the South Carolina Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association State Women’s Honor Choir. They sent in recorded auditions last May and were informed of their selection in August. They participated in the Honor Choir concert at Coastal Carolina University.
